The Challenge
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) required a cutting-edge digital solution to manage their pipeline operations more effectively. The goal was to streamline and centralize 180 processes across multiple verticals, ensuring efficiency and scalability. This solution, named PipelineOne, would serve as a SaaS platform for BPCL’s desktop, web, and mobile users.

The complexity of the workflows demanded a design that was both intuitive and robust, tailored to meet the needs of BPCL’s diverse user base—from field operators to senior executives.
My Role: Leading the UI Design
As the primary UI designer for PipelineOne, I was tasked with building a user-friendly interface to address BPCL’s operational challenges. My responsibilities included:
Process Analysis & User Research
Collaborated with BPCL stakeholders and engineers to analyze 180 processes across various verticals.
Conducted user interviews to understand the specific challenges faced by different roles within the organization.
Designing for Complexity and Scale
Created a scalable design system to maintain consistency across all screens and platforms.
Designed 1,000+ Figma screens, incorporating workflows, role-specific dashboards, and user journeys for desktop, web, and mobile applications.
Prototyping & Iteration
Developed interactive prototypes for user testing and iterative improvements.
Ensured the designs aligned with BPCL’s operational goals and corporate branding.
